Investment Bank Citizens Predicts Ethereum to Hit $7,000 by 2026 and $20,000 by 2030

According to a new market forecast, investment bank Citizens has issued a bullish outlook on Ethereum (ETH), predicting the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency could reach $7,000 by 2026 and surge to $20,000 by 2030.

The report cites rising institutional adoption, the expansion of decentralized finance (DeFi), and Ethereum’s ongoing scalability upgrades as major drivers behind its long-term growth potential.

Citizens analysts highlighted that Ethereum’s dominance in smart contracts, tokenization, and decentralized applications (dApps) positions it as a foundational layer for the next generation of the Web3 economy.

The firm also noted the increasing momentum in real-world asset (RWA) tokenization and enterprise blockchain solutions, both of which are expected to boost on-chain activity and ETH demand.

If realized, this projection would see Ethereum’s market cap exceeding $2 trillion by the end of the decade, cementing its place as a core digital asset alongside Bitcoin in institutional portfolios.
